How Alternate Lines Work
Alternate lines let you buy or sell points from the standard spread. Buying points (moving the spread in your favor) costs you juice - you get worse odds. Selling points (taking a worse spread) gives you better odds.
Value hunting: Compare book prices to the calculated fair odds. If a book offers -150 on a line that should be -170, you've found value. This often happens during line movement or on less popular alt lines.
Teaser legs: This calculator helps evaluate whether buying 6-7 points in a teaser is fairly priced compared to standard alt line pricing.
