Understanding the Numbers
Expected Value (EV)
EV shows your average profit per bet. +5% EV means $5 profit per $100 wagered on average. We calculate this by comparing offered odds to our estimated true probability (derived from removing vig from market consensus).
Kelly Criterion
Kelly tells you how much to bet based on your edge. Higher Kelly = more confident bet. We recommend ¼ to ½ Kelly to reduce variance while still capturing value.
Confidence Levels
High: EV > 5% and Kelly > 3% - strongest plays
Medium: EV > 2% and Kelly > 1% - solid value
Low: Positive EV but smaller edge
